Dawny Funding

We all love Dawn Fraser Pool but without an urgent heritage restoration our famous Pool will have to close its doors.

After recent funding cuts from Greens and Liberal Councillors on the Inner West Council, it’s time to use people power to force these politicians to fully fund the upgrade and Save Our Pool.

Due to a $2.2 million funding shortfall, the renovation of the Pool is set to be cancelled, leading to the Baths being closed in the near future.

With a final decision on the future and funding of Dawny’s to be made within weeks we need to send a clear message that we won’t let our pool be closed.

The Baths are where many of us have learned to swim and first threw a water polo ball. Don't let this be taken away from our children (or our parents).

The Inner West Council is doing a story on the funding and is sending a photographer to the pool THIS SATURDAY! We need to get as many club members down to the pool at 9am to form a Black and Gold crowd to show what the pool means to us.

Put on a Balmain Water Polo Club T-Shirt and come to the pool on Saturday.
