This year we will be implementing a mandatory theory session, conducted by Ken Miranda, where the junior referees will be instructed on the rules, refereeing techniques and table duty role Participants have the following options to complete this :

1. Thursday 28th December - Dawn Fraser Baths 10am - 1pm  OR

2. Wednesday 3rd January - Dawn Fraser Baths 8am - 11am

Participants who complete the course on the 28th December will cover the referee duties from 8:30am to 11:30am on Wednesday 3rd January.

REMINDER :

Each participant will need to :

• Attend a 3 hour theory instruction session - either on 28th December from 10am at Dawny OR on Wednesday 3rd January 8am to 11am at Dawny (beginning of the carnival)
• Wear the official event shirt (to be collected at 7:45am on Wed 3rd Jan) when officiating with clean, neat shorts or skirt. A hat and sunscreen is recommended.
• have a loud, clear whistle and Lanyard, labeled. There will be Fox 40 whistles and lanyards on sale from 7:45am on 3rd January for $14 or pre  order online https://www.balmainwaterpolo.com.au/shop/1314/ . A variety of colors available.
