UTS BWPC – Tiger Flippa Ball

UTS Balmain Water Polo Club and the Inner West Council are launching Tiger Flippa Ball. 

FlippaBall™ is Water Polo Australia's modified version of non contact water polo for beginners. The game has been designed for kids aged between 6-12 years. It is a fun, simple game that can be played by all children regardless of their height, gender and most importantly of all, their swimming ability.

The program will be assisted by current Australian Water Polo League players from UTS BWPC, including current Australian National Team Captain – Rowie Webster.

UTS BWPC prides itself of providing a pathway from beginners through to the elite level and the introduction of the Flippa Ball program is integral to establishing the love of water pool. 

At the recent Under 16's National Championships our Boys team won Bronze and our Girls team took out the Gold medal. The majority of the players from both teams started playing water polo at the Balmain under 12's skills sessions. The Flippa Ball program will enable kids to try our great sport even earlier.

What do you need to do to participate in Flippa Ball in Term 1 (2019)?

• STEP 1: Register and come to the Free Come & Try Night – The session will be run by current Australian Water Polo League players from BWPC, including current Australian National Team Captain – Rowie Webster. 
  - Who: all kids between 6 and 12 years
  - Registration cost: free
  - When: Friday 1 March 2019 – 6:15-7:45pm 
  - Where: Leichhardt Park Aquatic Centre (pool entry charges will apply)
  - You must register
  
  Register for the Come & Try Night on 1 March Free >
   
• Did you have fun and now you want to play in the 6 week program?
   
• STEP 2: Register as a Balmain Tiger Flippa Member
  - Who: all kids between 6 and 12 years + a parent
  - Cost per child: $15 fee (this is Water Polo Australia's fee) if first time in our program
  - Cost per parent: free (You need to register as a 'Tiger Parent')
  - This is really simple
  
  Parents register as a Tiger Parent (T2): Free >
  
  Kids Register as a Flippa Member (F1): $15 >
   
• STEP 3: Register for our 2019 Term 1 – 6 week Program – The program will be run by current Australian Water Polo League players
  - Who: all kids between 6 and 12 years (make sure kids are registered as Flippa Members)
  - Cost per child: $90 + pool charges
  - When:  Friday nights – 8 March to 12 April 2019– 6:15-7:45pm 
  - Where: Leichhardt Park Aquatic Centre (pool charges will apply
