The Road To London

The Road To London

70 Days to Go

AS the Olympic flame reaches the UK, James Clark takes a minute to update us on the latest with the Men’s National Team.

The National team has been training very hard in the last few months. With camps in Perth and Sydney and a short stint in Japan and China, for the World League Prelims, things are looking more positive as each day passes. With just 70 days until the opening ceremony there are undoubtable going to be some hard decisions made by Foxy and the other coaches. Next week we head to the Gold Coast for a training camp mixed with some team bonding exercises. From here the squad is cut to 15 and that team will travel to Thailand, Kazakhstan, Holland and Italy; for a series of tournaments and training camps, including the World League Finals. It is certainly going to be a nervous time ahead but I’m proud to be flying the Balmain Flag and appreciate all the support the club has given me.  At this stage would consider my chances as being strong. All that matters though is a Gold Medal for Australia.
